IA Trip Day 3: Home

We were determined to make it home at a good time and there weren't many places to stop on our route anyway. We started our morning in Fairfield where we grabbed coffee from an adorable cafe and then wandered through a nearby car show. The town was small, but the weather was nice and there was a lot of small town charm to admire.

A bit further down we stopped in Quincy, IL.  We grabbed more coffee and then walked the area a bit. It was Sunday and a live worship event was happening in the town square. Our goal was to see the riverfront park, but a gay pride event was set up there so we walked back to our car and headed out of town.

From there we took a drive along the river which was very pretty.

We were home in no time and were able to unload the car and get into bed at a good time.

Azalea did really well the whole time. She loves seeing new things and going new places. She had a new activity book which really kept her entertained. I can see more of these short trips in our future.
