Mother's Day Tea Party

Preschool hosted a Mother's Day tea party today and it was the most precious thing. The kiddos sang two sweet songs and then we did crafts and had light snacks.

The kids have been working hard learning the songs, painting flowerpots, and creating placemats.
Each kiddo filled out a questionnaire about their mom and according to A, I am good at making soup, my favorite food is grapes, and I'm 5 years old. I did cringe a little when she listed "watching shows" as how we spend time together when we read together much more than watch TV, but oh well. LOL.

I definitely choked up when I received the invite addressed to "Azalea's Mom." My reaction caught me by surprise. Kinship adoption is such a weird experience. On one hand, I've known she was likely to be ours for a long time. On the other hand, it's very surreal.
