2025 Family Vacation Day 5: Skagway

Another day, another port. This one was better!

For one thing, we were able to walk right off the ship and be in town in 15 minutes. It was a nice day and not at all crowded.

This huge snowplow greeted us at the entrance.

Along with the usual touristy shops, there were some fun things here. First was the Klondike Gold Rush National Park. There was a museum and an additional bar both detailing the gold rush and life at the time.

We found a little shop selling coffee and fry bread and had to get some. Did not disappoint.

The birds were waiting for handouts.

Next, we found a rock shop hidden down a back alleyway. Gabe found several things he wanted.

There was a really cute park just off the beaten path. We let A run and play while we rested a bit before heading back to the ship.

There were a few other places to visit including a museum and gardens, but we we needed to get Miss back to the ship. We did think this train on display was pretty cool.

Goodbye Skagway!

Another towel buddy

Skagway was a good day. It was so lovely. No ponchos and only a jacket were needed.
