2025 Family Vacation Day 11: Saying Goodbye and Going Home
Saying goodbye stinks.
Today was an easy day. We stayed home the whole time and let the girls play. I wanted to make sure A got a nap since we had another later flight. They played and watched TV and jumped on the trampoline. They just soaked up their time together and the rest of us loved seeing them play and connect.
Before we knew it we were at the airport. Ben dropped us off and we waited for him while he returned the rental car.

There was some issues with our boarding passes that took a while to clear up but finally we were good to go. The upside was that we didn't have long to wait before boarding!
A did really well on the flight home. She was a dream. What was not so dreamy was that Ben and I both had headaches. Also, the plane was like a refrigerator. It was absolutely freezing and we were miserable. Enough people complained and they were finally able to make it warmer. The last hour was much better and we were feeling better by the time we landed.
Gabe, A, and I collected our bags and waited while Ben took the shuttle to get the car. The drive home went fast since it was midnight and there was no traffic. We were home and sleeping in our own beds before we knew it. Whew!
What a great trip! It was a lot in 11 days, but we made a lot of great memories and got to spend time with so many lovely people.
