Crazy Weather and Burning Barn

 We've had some intense weather these past few years. When another storm came through I didn't think much of it. The power flickered and then shut off. I started making the rounds to make sure everything was put up before the storm hit I noticed smoke billowing across the back yard. I went out the front and looked toward the property next to us and was aghast to see that the neighbors barn was a blazing inferno. 

After calling 911, Ben rushed over to see if anyone was in the barn. We'd seen activity recently, including furniture being moved in. 

It took about 15 minutes for emergency personnel to arrive. In the meantime, the neighbors around us gathered to watch the spectacle. It was clear there was no saving the barn and the fields started to catch on fire. Firetruck after firetruck arrived and the men worked hard to wet the fields and put out the fire, but the barn was a total loss. 

Later int he day we got a lot of rain and some hail. What a mess!
