2023 NE Vacation Day 6: Acadia National Park

The day started off with a fun, unexpected, stop at a huge antique shop. Three floors of alllll kinds of interesting things!

He found another bear!

We made good time and were able to stop for some coffee in Bar Harbor, the little town right outside of Acadia National Park.

As cute as it was, we decided to go ahead and spend some time in Acadia since we had the whole day ahead of us.

First stop was Thunderhole. When the tide is just right, the water going out creates an air pocket that makes a sound like thunder. We weren't there at the right time, but the rocks were so fun to climb on. It reminded us all of HI.

Next stop was Otter Point. More rocks to climb.

Handley Beach was a favorite with the guys. It's a pebble beach with rocks that....bounce. I know that sounds weird, but it's true. They probably spent an hour just throwing the rocks and watching them ping pong back and forth.

Cadillac Summit was last. The sunrises are supposed to be legendary here. We were able to climb and explore as long as we stayed on the rocks. The view was amazing. That's a cruise ship out there for reference!

We made our way back into Bar Harbor for the night and found some treats. Then we settled in at the hotel and went out later for dinner at Testa's.

Treat shop where we got fried dough, whoopie pies, and ice cream
