Goodbye VBS
Gabe finished his 4th and final year of VBS!
When he was first invited I was surprised that he wanted to go. Aside from the friend who invited him, he didn't know anyone at the host church and he's my shy guy. But he went and had so, so much fun. The next year we signed him up again and he, again, had a blast. These last two years his friend wasn't available, but that didn't deter him one bit.
He soaked in every moment of his last VBS experience and was awarded the "Bookworm" award. It was bittersweet, but he's already talking about volunteering next year so he can share the experience with other kids.
