First 5k
I walked/jogged in my first 5k this past weekend. I don't really think of it as a big deal because I walk a lot and walking isn't nearly as impressive as running - when I can run a 5k I'll be shouting it from the rooftops. Nonetheless, it was a really fun event and I look forward to doing it again next year.

It was a chilly 49 degrees, but we warmed up quickly!
The Harvest Moon run was at night, at a local park, and we were supplied headlamps to light our path. The proceeds all go to a local food back which is a great cause.
I'm not a morning person so most 5ks don't appeal to me at all, but I really enjoyed doing an evening event! Especially one close to home. With drive time and all we were only gone about 2 hours.
Plus, I came home with a t-shirt and a cool headlamp. Score!
