July 2018 Recap

August was a "low screen time" month. Not a "no screen time" month, but enough to keep us from being consumed with electronic devices all day every day. I'd found myself sort of pulling away back in July so it felt natural and fairly easy to cut back even more during our last month of Summer.

So here's everything that was missed in July:

July 2nd: We had our roof worked on. Super unexciting, but it turns out that the contractor who installed our metal roof wasn't an expert in that area. Super frustrating, but it felt good to get a real professional out who could redo some things. Not our favorite way to spend money, but it will save us money in the end.

July 4th: My dad invited us to his house to BBQ. It was a really nice time. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and it was good to catch up with everyone.

July 5th: Gabe had smashed his poor foot on the 4th. A couple doses of Arnica kept it from bruising too badly, but I was concerned it was fractured. Of course, this type of thing always happens during the holidays. After getting feedback from the Chiro and keeping an eye on it, it was apparent that it was fine. Just really sore.

July 15th: My friend and I hosted a baby shower for another friend. We were excited to celebrate with her!

July 19th: Garden club meeting and the subject was dirt! We were shown how you can take dirt samples and mix them with water and let them sit to help you determine what kind of dirt you have. Very interesting and cool!

July 23rd: We've had a good bit of rain so everything is coming back to life! And I'm not the only one who appreciates it.

July 30th: The community garden has been bountiful!
