2018 Vacation Day 4: Myrtle Beach

Life's a beach!

Found a neat Christian coffee shop on our way to the beach so the day started off right!

Myrtle Beach wasn't crowded at all.

Ben and the boys swam, Tim took pictures, and Karen and I did some shelling.

At one point, I chatted with a man who lives nearby and collects shark teeth. This beach must be known for them because it's the first time I've ever seen people who are doing serious shelling. They had these sifters on long poles that they'd use to sift through the sand. I ended up finding half a dozen small teeth myself, which was pretty cool!

After a few hours we were hungry so we drove back into town to a restaurant that serves gluten-free crepes. They were soooooo good and hearty.

We decided to poke around the boardwalk a bit. It was pretty crowded and very tourist-y. Nothing remarkable. We bought our souvenirs and checked out the arcade.

By this time we were all getting tired and it was apparent that several of us were sunburned, as well. We decided to call it a day.

The weather forecast wasn't very promising. It was calling for 80-90 percent chance of rain at our next stop. We went back and forth deliberating on what to do and finally decided to just proceed as planned and hope for the best.
