2018 Vacation Day 12: Cedar Point, OH
What a loooong day!
There are a lot of places we visit where we're warned beforehand that we could spend days, if not weeks, exploring. 95% of the time we find that inaccurate and overblown. Not so with Cedar Point. We could have spent at least 2 days here!

[caption id="attachment_4528" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Coasters are king at Cedar Point.[/caption]
We were so impressed with how the coasters are so close. The park incorporates them and is entwined with them. So unique!
The very first coaster we road was the best coaster I've ever been on.

It was very smooth, which I always appreciate, but fast and scary! It didn't hurt that Ben and I were on the very front. As the cars came up over the rises, they actually stopped and dangled us over the edge before letting go. Ah-mazing!
We rode the first couple of rides with hardly any wait but then the park started filling up. The cloud cover we'd become accustomed to the rest of the trip was gone and it was h-o-t.

We rode several rides, split up for lunch, rode some more rides. I reached my limit fairly quickly because I start to feel sick. Tim's back was bothering him. Luke was battling a bad chest cold and just wasn't up to much.
Pretty pathetic lot.
Ben was raring to go and a few times he split off of the group to do his own thing. At one such point, the boys and I took refuge from the heat at the arcade. They had the usual there, but they also had a whole set of old pinball machines. Both boys and I played for a while and really enjoyed ourselves.
Luke played a racing game and Gabe and I played some air hockey.

Once Ben found us, we bought a basket of the fries that Cedar Point is known for. They were gone in about 5 minutes!
Hot, tired, and coastered out, we headed back to our hotel and collapsed with exhaustion.
You haven't seen the last of the Nolen family, Cedar Point. We'll be back! :)
