2018 Vacation Day 11: Charleston, WV and Cleveland, OH

Today was just a driving day with little stops along the way.

Our first stop was downtown Charleston. We walked around the capitol grounds a bit.

On our way to Cleveland, we found this:

Cleveland was okay. It was just getting late enough that most attractions were closed or getting ready to close. There was much debate about if we should tour the house featured in A Christmas Story or not, but it didn't work out.

Instead, we walked downtown Cleveland. Near the tracks we found this surprising little gem:

We popped into a Civil War museum:

And explored the Arcade which the boys were disappointed to learn had nothing to do with pinball machines, but was actually a mall full of unique (and pricey) specialty stores.

The Free stamp was neat, too:

On our way out of the city, we stopped by Edgewood park to see Lake Erie.

There was nothing big on Day 11, but that was fine. We knew we'd be needing all our strength and energy for our big day at Cedar Point!22
