Gabe's 10th Birthday

Gabe is 10!

He was much more excited about turning "double digits" than Luke ever was. At first, he wanted another Harry Potter birthday. We both did a lot of research and I started to get into it and then, a few days before the party, he decided he didn't want a theme after all. Ooookay.

We invited friends and family and it was a rare occasion where everyone we invited showed up! We were packed.

It was a beautiful day so we started off outdoors. I'm not big on party games, so we just dragged all of the toys out onto the patio and let the kids play and have fun.

Then we went inside for cake. Gabe gets nervous when everyone is looking at him so he really hams it up. He was making the goofiest faces and ended up cracking himself up.

Gifts were next.

Guests stayed and chatted for a bit and then everyone headed out. I was exhausted!

As always, I decorate my picture ledges for the boys during their birthday and leave it up all month long.

So, my baby is 10 now. He's super intelligent and has a better vocabulary than most adults I know. Reading is his number 1 hobby. Home is his favorite place in the world and he loves his cats something fierce. I'm so glad to have this sweet boy in my life!
