Valentine's Day 2016

We had such a nice day!

It snowed so we stayed home from church, but we had a lovely breakfast-for-dinner and gave each other valentines. I bought each boy a shirt and gave them a small bag of chocolate covered almonds.

I dug up a GF cinnamon roll recipe. It was a nightmare to make and I about pitched it in the trash. I finally decided that I didn't care how they looked as long as they tasted okay.

They did taste good right out of the oven, but after they cooled down they weren't as good. What a bummer. Gosh I hate gluten free baking!

Gabe received a Minecraft shirt and Luke a Spiderman shirt. They loved them.

(I'm grateful they are so easy to please and they actually didn't whine about not receiving any other candy! Somehow we managed to make it through this holiday without having to attend a single party. It was so nice and junk free! A FB friend posted a picture of a Valentine's Day party at her daughter's dance class and I was like, "Seriously!" I mean, my goodness. )

So it was a lovely, cozy day with lots of snacks and snuggles and love and just the right amount of sweets.
