Suson Park 2015

The boys haven't been to Suson Park since they were little bitty so I decided to take them on Tuesday. Ben was still out of town and we were looking for something to do.

It was a perfect Fall day and the boys were really psyched to see the animals.

We started off near the bridge.

And then headed over to view the animals. The miniature horses seemed sad. Maybe they were sleeping. I'm not sure. Poor things. Not much to see there. The goats and sheep were adorable though.

There were a lot of chickens, roosters, and turkeys, but they were hard to photograph due to the fencing. The turkey was enormous, though! I did manage to get this sweet girl in a nesting box.

The pigs could not have cared less that we were there. All of the other animals responded to our presence in some way, at least a little bit. Not so the pigs. They had better things to do!

Of course, if you go to Suson, you have to get your picture taken here. I'm pretty sure it's mandatory.

This horse is ginormous. I was looking down as we approached the corral and when I looked up his entire head was over the fence and dangerously close to me. To say I was startled is an understatement! I admired him from a distance.

After viewing the horses and cows, we headed back to the car. This little guy was staring out of his stall. So sweet.

We drove over to the playground and ate our lunch and then the boys played.

Gabe is still at the "Look, Mom!" stage so I snapped a couple of pictures of him. There were some other homeschoolers at the park so he quickly made friends with a little boy his age. Luke, being the big kid that he is, made friends with some older boys and they hung out just chatting and getting to know each other.

We had a great time! The boys enjoyed the playground so much we're going back today to meet up with some friends!
