Harry Potter Party Invites
I finally finished the invitations for Gabe's birthday party. Here they are:
Closed, with the scissors to keep the flaps down for the picture:

The map (with birthday details off to the side):
I found some awesome paper on Amazon.com. You really don't want anything too thick, like a cardstock or they won't fold well. I used the paper to print the maps onto and to make envelopes. I then glued the envelopes closed and sealed them with red sealing wax. Looked pretty cool, if I do say so myself. If only I could have had them delivered by owl. Oh well. :)

Can you tell ,e step by step how you made the Harry potter invitations? I love them!
ReplyDeleteHey Matt, You can print off the map and instructions here: http://www.britta.com/hogwarts/year6/prep/map/MapWithInstructions.pdf
ReplyDeleteAs for the party info, I just typed something up in Word and printed it up, cut it down to size and then placed it in the invite. That's really all you need to do. I added the red and yellow paper just as a way to cover up the flaps that say "Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry" because we have some family members who don't like that type of stuff so we tried to downplay the witch and wizard part of it. Hope that helps!
